Rinker winning by one shot ahead of Tucker to take the win, 136 to 137.
“Between the 14th and 15th holes there were a pair of two-stroke swings, on Rinker’s birdie and Tucker’s bogey at No. 9, and a bogey by Rinker at 17 midst Tucker’s closing string of birdies. Rinker two-putted to save par and the win at the 18th after Tucker had birdied.
“I feel like my game’s in good shape and I feel like playing again,” Rinker said. He shot 212 to tie for sixth in the Florida Senior Open Sunday (Aug. 10). His next outing will be the SFPGA Section Championship Aug. 25-27 Vero Beach. “I’m looking forward to playing in the Section Championship,” which he won in 2003 and 2006, Rinker added.” (sfpgagolf.com)
