When it comes to golf professionals, you’d be surprised at how many of them are actually from around here, or own real estate in your back yard. Well, not literally, but not far from your back yard, lets say. There is a 30-mile stretch of Florida’s southern Martin County and northern Palm Beach County that is a happening place to live, eat and hang out for many of the PGA Golf Professionals such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Ernie Els Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, and More.
Here is a list of the Pros & Their Clubs:
“This Land of the Tour Pros starts at PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens and extends approximately 20 miles north to Hobe Sound , from the Atlantic Ocean on the east to the backwaters of the Loxahatchee River a few miles inland. I was playing with Tom Fazio at Jupiter Hills recently, and the golf course architect recalled the pre-boom period in the 1970s, when there was concern the club’s name wouldn’t be recognizable because nobody had heard of Jupiter, and when the mega-resort and golf community known as PGA National was populated by wild boar and bobcat. Fazio told me he recently counted 33 courses from McAuthur (which he codesigned with Price) to PGA National, where he and his Uncle George originally designed the Haig and Squire courses that opened in 1980. I told him we had almost that many pros as members at Medalist. ” (GolfWorld.Com)
Some of the HOT SPOTS to hang out for some “Hang Time” are located in Jupiter, Florida area which attracts the golf pros because it “affords them privacy and a quality lisfestyle.” The best place to see them is a PGA or Champions Tour event, but some places you might sneak a peek would be at Capital Grille in Palm Beach Gardens, Guanabanas in Jupiter, Hobe Sound Deli in Hobe Sound, Hog Snappers in Jupiter, Reef Grill in Juno Beach, The Dive Bar in Jupiter, The Food Shack in Jupiter, or Lazy Loggerhead Cafe in Jupiter.
